Cancellation & Refunds

Townsite · Draft of September 27, 2026

You can cancel anytime. No fees, no phone call, no need to explain.

1.How to cancel

In your dashboard, open Billing and choose Manage billing, then cancel. An owner on the account can do this. You can also just email us and we'll do it for you.

2.What happens to your site

Your site stays up until the end of the period you've already paid for (the month, or the year on the yearly plan). After that it goes offline and we stop charging you. Changed your mind before then? You can undo the cancellation in Manage billing.

3.Refunds

We don't refund partial periods: canceling stops the next charge, it doesn't refund the current one. If something went wrong on our side, or you were charged by mistake, email us and Ashton will look at it himself. Refunds beyond that are at our discretion.

Approved refunds go back to the card you paid with. Your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show it.

4.Domains

Domain registrations can't be refunded once made, including the first year included with the yearly plan.

A domain we registered for you is in your business's name, and it stays yours after you cancel. Ask us and we'll help you move it to a registrar you choose, or point it somewhere else. A domain you already owned is untouched: just change its DNS record when you move your site.

5.Getting your site and content

Before or after you cancel, email us and we'll send you a copy of your site's files and the photos and text you gave us. Ask within 30 days of your site going offline; after that we may have deleted them.
